Not an only child, but my brother and I tried to pick films that both of us would enjoy, and when it was one that one of us would get a lot more out of than the other, the one who didn't enjoy it much would get to pick the next time. My depessed friend won't even give things a try. I know that I actively dislike Spider-Man - and I think I probably know him better than her - but she loves vampires and won't give Hellsing a try, adores Tomb Raider and won't try Uncharted, and despite claiming to like good films, made me watch three Indiana Jones films and then TALKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE LONGEST YARD. If she didn't pick it apparently it can't be interesting. Which wouldn't bug me so much if her interests hadn't atrophied some time around 2002.

First off, Indiana Jones is fucking awesome.

Second, stop being this girl's friend if you don't want to be. I mean, you don't even sound like her friend, you sound like you can't even stand her. And that doesn't make you better than her, that makes you a shitty friend.

DA I was gonna say this too. Maybe the OP should rethink their relationship with this friend and re-evaluate the give and take of it. It sounds like both sides are unwilling to give. I get having shitty friends that don't want to try new things, complain about stupid shit and have some interests that drive me up the wall when they talk about them which is all the time. I took a step back and changed the status of the relationship from friend to acquaintance. They're fine in small doses, but any more than that we will eventually clash on some matter or interest. And we used to get along great, but people change and interests and opinions change.

I know it's all been take for years. I'm just trying to stick it out so she can get through this and move on with her life. I know she's not a shitty person underneath everything, but she certainly has been a shitty friend constantly since I came out to her several years ago. But this isn't really the place to have this conversation. I know it's an issue and I'm doing my best to be a good friend to her until she gets it together. But yeah, I mostly wanted to talk about how great Gerber comics are and how wicked it would be if someone made a Heroes For Hire film.

Assuming she ever gets it together. I think you need to reevauate this friendship, before you end it... and not in a dignified way, but a screaming rant she might never have seen coming cause she obviously isn't picking up on all of this. Being there for her doesn't mean you hide your feelings on everything.

Also, while a Heroes for Hire movie would be awesome, I'd hope Iron Fist and Power Man got their own movies first. Hell, Iron Fist's Cities of Heaven Tournament could probably be a great triology if done as a follow up once the characters were introduced.

I really want to see a live action bride of nine spiders fight. I won't lie.
