7. Man, I dunno. I definitely think Mike did a fine job, and it's certainly not worth arguing about, both MST3K eras are great, but... damn if Joel didn't have a certain something... Now I'm just terrified somebody is going to do an MST3K "I Ship It" secret, but it's probably already been done. Sigh. (Incidentally the character I missed the most was TV's Frank...) Keep circulating the tapes.
9. Of course you do. Because Iroh is completely goddamn awesome.
18. That's fucked up. Nobody on my f'list would fake a death. I feel for you.
19. I stopped being surprised by shit like this when people didn't know about Ranma or Kimagure Orange Road. But yeah, I hear you.
23. For what it's worth, my dream concert was fantastic. Just don't worry about it being some kind of huge peak experience, go to hear the music, and have a good time.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-23 04:04 am (UTC)(link)In fact, he very recently did a cameo on episode #602 of The Radio Adventures of Doctor Floyd (www.doctorfloyd.com), a super-cute family-friendly podcast show thing. He's been on the show quite a bit, actually.
But this paticular episode also stars a certain Mr. Joel Hodgson. :D And if this episode is any indication, the creators of the podcast are HUUUGE fans of MST3K.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-23 02:53 am (UTC)(link)But I realize that while slash is just a part of everyday life in most fandoms, MST3K is NOT one of those fandoms, and I understand when people get freaked out at the idea. Heck, just regular MST3K fanfiction (that aren't MSTings, I mean) is still a pretty alien concept! So uh, don't worry about it getting into the "main fandom," or anything. It's all very secretive and underground and rogue. >_>

I don't really see how MST fanfic would work. I mean, it could be done, but unless it were really funny, what would be the point? But don't let me stop you!
Anyway, yes, much Joel love. Think I'm gonna go watch Mitchell... HOT MERGING ACTION.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-23 03:41 am (UTC)(link)I've seen a little MST3K fanfiction, and I agree that it doesn't really work unless it's funny and doesn't take itself too seriously. It depends on how well it's written, really. ^^
Have fun with Mitchell! "Oh, goodness, they merged successfully. My heart...was in my throat." XD

"Bus-taker!"
"Leak-taker!"
Ah, Mitchell. "Now he looks like a smallmouth bass!"
