Moyashimon. It's a pretty good series (and the second season is just about to start!) but this scene is pretty much a joke. They were both drunk, and the blonde girl is slightly homophobic.

it's sad how little good lesbian anime is out there. reduced options/variety = reduced likelihood of finding something you like.

I feel you, OP. There are exactly two lesbian anime couples that make me happy in the goofy-grin way good femmeslash does, and in both cases they're minor characters.

Personally I love GL (and BL) as a genre, and I have no problems finding good manga, but finding a good GL anime is another thing entirely.
The only ones that I like, and that come to mind, are really subtle when it comes to lesbianism (Marimite, Madoka Magica, Utena, Oniisama E, Cutie Honey). I don't think it makes you a bad lesbian anime fan just because you're picky; it just means you're very particular about what you like.

Sucks that you haven't found any you can really enjoy. Saying you still have fic feels like cold comfort - but at least you'll never run out of it.

You have nothing to feel guilty about. God knows it's not your fault there are so few lesbian characters knocking around.
