It was fun, and visually beautiful, though I don't think I'm the intended audience. Refreshing to get mother-daughter, and both sides of the story.

That said, the movie's "hey let's just all be individualist!" tacked on top of feudalism was a little tiresome, but that's a niche objection.

Also, "all men are immature boys" is a theme I despise somewhat too, but I can't say my expectations were very high.

That was the big thing that stuck out to me watching the trailer I saw. It really seemed like the men were not just irrelevant to the heroine's interests but terribly stupid and annoying. I was kind of disappointed by that. I'd love to see "You know, Sean, you're a great guy and all, but marriage just isn't for me" rather than "Marry these dolts!? Seriously?!"

It may not be as bad as it looked from a tiny snippet, and it wouldn't ruin my enjoyment anyway, but... yeah.
