I never said that was the case, that fiction has zero impact on us. You're putting words into my mouth. I said that it's not the responsibility of fiction to teach kids the ways of the world. It is the responsibility of fiction to tell a story. Whether that includes moralizing about heroes and bravery and the realities of romance or whatever else, that's up to the storyteller. You can choose which fiction you consume, you can pontificate on what you like and don't like, you can even speak out about what you'd like to see more or less of. But to frame your personal desires as a moral issue because "think of the children!!" is just absurd. No one owes you anything, and no one has a responsibility to portray the world in the exactly the way that you think is best/most realistic.

If read overmuch into what I considered the implications of what you said, fine. But now you're putting words in my mouth, as I certainly haven't demanded stories have morals to reflect my worldviews.
