Bandwagoners.. a blight on every sport fandom. But particularly irritating when it comes to international tournaments. >:(

I say let people have fun with their sports even if it's just intermittent. Not everyone can make something like sports or television a top life priority.

Sure, let them. But also let them at least behave themselves if they are just having fun and don't understand much of what is going on. I hate it when such people point their finger at, say, Vitalik and crow: "Gee, he finished the race one lap behind the leader! The loooooser! Bwa-ha-ha!" I don't care if they are only there for the winners. That's fine by me as long as they don't flaunt their ignorance. (Honestly, people, the driver cannot drive faster than his car allows him and it's not his bloody fault.)
