You know, I think the hate is excessive
but I don't think it's accurate or fair to dismiss the dissatisfaction with the character/ship because it's not like "Pairing X." I didn't care for Kataang, am neutral on Borra, but I still dislike Mako/Korra because the pairing is so poorly developed, and it ruins everyone involved in the stupid triangle. Plus it took time away from the plot.

Agree sfm! The time wasted on the triangle should've been used to actually develop the teenagers as friends and as a team, not all this shipping bs.

That! The Krew didn't have anywhere near the rapport the Gaang did (even just the mini-Gaang within season 1). I rolled my eyes at the "Team Avatar" moment when Korra, Bolin, Mako, and Asami all put their hands together because...yeah suuuure you are. Hey, Mako and Bolin, how about expressing some concern and/or interest in Korra's involvement in Tarrlok's task force or after she challenged badass, threatening Amon to a duel? How about showing us any reason why Asami would (want to) continue hanging out with Team Avatar after this season?

This, thank you! I kept half-expecting her to leave not because she didn't agree with their stance (though why in hell she did agree is kind of beyond me), but because she kept getting shafted by the rest of the team and they took her for granted. :/

Definitely. I don't hate Mako as a character, or hate Makorra on principle (indeed initially I thought it was gonna be more interesting to watch than Kataang) but... oh LORD they can not write main character romance right.
