You clearly have no fucking clue what it is like to be abused if you think you could just shrug off behaviour like that. Once a (using the term loosely) "person" (particularly if they are a parent) does something like that, they are no longer human. Killing them wouldn't be murder. Hell, it would actually be self defence, because if someone's that evil and unstable they could be one step away from killing you anyway.

Anyway, congrats on triggering me with your judgement that an abused person striking back at their abuser is worse than they are.

It's not other people's responsibility to avoid saying anything that may potentially trigger someone over the Internet (also, I think the person was referring to resorting to actual *murder*, which is pretty much always wrong no matter what the circumstances unless it's committed in actual self-defense, and not just someone standing up to their abuser). That said, I completely agree with you, personally. If anyone, including a member of my family or a close friend, ever did something like that to me - particularly involving anything to do with my writing - I cannot say for sure that I wouldn't become violent with them. I don't think I would ever kill someone over it, but my reaction would most likely be... extreme. At the very least I would cut that person completely from my life.
