(Anonymous) 2012-07-09 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)I refuse to pay for a digital release of something if I can't download a DRM-free copy I can access offline or port to other devices. On the other hand, I like crunchyroll's model because a lot of anime I'll watch if it's there but I have no designs on owning myself, so a monthly subscription fee doesn't bother me.
...in conclusion I usually buy the legit physical medium releases of shows I really like so I can downloaded the hi quality raws/fansubs guilt-free.
