(Anonymous) 2012-07-10 01:38 am (UTC)(link)Unfortunately, I started a new birth control pill 5 weeks ago and now even that doesn't work. I became "dead" down there right away. That's not an exaggeration. I took the first pill at 2 p.m. and by 10 p.m....nothing. For some reason I can become aroused reading smutty fanfic but I haven't been able to have an orgasm since before I started those pills.
But, yeah, not everyone masturbates, and not just because of religious reasons. It took me a long time to learn how to, and in the meantime I had to deal with other women on a forum I used to frequent declaring things like "Everyone masturbates. Anyone who says they don't is lying." I never spoke up because I thought I was the only one who didn't and didn't know how. Now I wonder how many other people kept quiet because of this loud clique's generalizations. (I remember a girl in college asking advice because she wasn't sure whether she should lose her virginity to her new boyfriend and being thoroughly virgin-shamed by these women.)
