I feel like you can't win with anything related to this show. For example: you can want them to not get together in this adaptation because it would be refreshing to see a female and a male be friends without a romantic relationship, but if you ship holmes/watson in all other 'verses then people will think you're a misogynist for not shipping them in this adaptation. Or fetishizing (is that a word?) gay relationships or something along those lines.

I wish this show would just hurry up and air so that people can actually discuss this with conclusive evidence as to the nature of the characters. I am so over the batshit arguments. Both the Sherlock fandom and the Elementary fandom are being ridiculous. (Sherlock fandom for hating and raging on an adaptation that hasn't even aired yet, and the Elementary fandom for defending an adaptation that hasn't even aired yet. The defenders of it might actually end up hating it, who knows?) There are just alarmingly aggressive people on both sides and it is exhausting tbh.
