(Anonymous) 2012-07-10 10:21 am (UTC)(link)If they stick to the original characterisation, she would be mostly a fairly useless Holmes fangirl who is in awe with everything he does and completely clueless about how he came to his conclusions. If they change it so she is really a strong female character, there is a risk of amping her awesomness so much it's getting ridiculous and doesn't have anything to do with the original character anymore. And if that happens, I don't know why they even bothered to try basing it on Sherlock Holmes.

What WOULD we do without lj/tumblr 'feminists' solemnly informing us about how problematic certain situations are? y'know the ones that WHOLLY coincidentally break up a slash pairing. They sure do get passionate on the subject.
