Um. While I agree with you that a digital download should cost less than a physical copy, fan entitlement really is an issue. The specific issue of overpriced digital comics isn't really the sort of thing I think of when I think of fan entitlement, though. That's more along the lines of people who think anything is too much to pay for their anime/manga. People who expect absolute perfection in a release, if even the slightest thing is off or it takes too long, they'll bitch about it, etc, because really they just plain do not want to pay for anything are the issue here.

Also OT but Okazu is a good blog. I do take issue with Erica Friedman's stance on scanlations, though. Not all of us know Japanese and not all of us can learn, so with yuri being such a tiny niche, discouraging scanlations so strongly is absurd. Especially since she runs (or at least used to run) Lillilicious, a fan translation group for yuri titles. She had the right idea with that. With yuri specifically she should probably be encouraging buying copies of titles you read scanned and enjoyed to support it, not decrying scanlations period.
