And Justin Bieber. Wahhh teenage girls don't have the same taste as twenty-something men clearly we should make jokes about killing/physically assaulting them. My taste is the only taste!

If those same fans were up in their music and entertainment they would be complaining even louder. People just like being elistist asses and teenage girls are easy targets.

Agreed! Bieber isn't my cup of tea, but what. the. fuck. Why is it okay to hate him? What has he ever done that legitimately demands the level of vitriol directed at him and his fans?

I am absolutely flabbergasted by the amount of hate people I would otherwise describe as rational and laid-back express over him. Why does everyone care what a bunch of pre-teens and teenagers listen to? Every generation has their boyband thing, it's just something you go through.

It's frustrating that you can get so many people worked up over what is literally nothing and real issues are met with a "meh, what are you gonna do?".

Exactly! It's like...what. Where is this coming from? When did society decide to target teen girls and what they like? As if their lives aren't hard enough, what with hitting some of the craziest years of their lives.
People always talk about how they were so much better and their subjects of attention were so much better, but really, it's just the exact same thing, but this time, there's a huge media saturation with it.

Really? I didn't know that. I read most of the posts on ONTD about him and while I see a ton of "Selena is better than this she-boy" type comments, I've never seen anything that truly suggest a relationship like that(tabloid gossip aside). They're both apart for times when they're working on projects, but I didn't know more than that.
But IA that people hate him for all the wrong reasons, regardless of if there are right reasons and what they might be.

What? I hadn't heard about that at all.
I have heard he's made some pretty bad comments about rape, but yeah, "people always hate on him for being effeminate and not for the things he deserves vitriol for" pretty much says it all. People hating on him for actual problems is one thing; the thing he said about rape was probably just a product of his being 17, but that doesn't mean people can't criticize it. I'm 16, and when I'm wrong, people tell me so and that's how I learn. People hating on him for perceived femininity is ridiculous, sexist and annoying.

Ugh. The only reason I ever heard anything about Beiber in the first place(I'm not from the US) was because I go to a website where his haters complain about him ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Ok you don't like him whatever, I personally don't care either way but for the love of god shut up about it!
