I wonder if it has to be written by very young people, as I have seen fics where men (as these are often about m/m) who are 'wet and ready' for their mate. Um. Yeah. Admittedly I haven't had anal sex, but ...is that possible (without prep)?

...or is that another deviation these fics take?

To be honest, I wouldn't probably be so grumpy if there was more m/f werewolf fic out there. But the alpha/omega thing seems solely dominated in m/m fanfiction.

....No. The anal cavity is not meant for sexual purposes. The only way it will become wet is if someone puts a liquid there (or it's bleeding...) Actually over-use of the anus can cause the muscles to weaken, and basically it falls out of the body. It's a horrible way to die, happens to a few porn actors :/ (The images I've seen, just...nightmare fuel)

It's really not. Anon's presented quite a few things that are extremely rare/uncommon as absolute ends. For example, the ratio of men to women is 1:6 because pregnancy and childbirth are major causes.

As for the idea that rectal prolapse is fatal and porn actors have died from it, I'd like to see anon's source on that because I couldn't find anything on it.

Also, the whole "the anus wasn't designed for sex" line smacks of "homosexuality = unnatural acts" thinking. Mouths, hands, and any number of other body parts weren't specifically designed for sex either and yet, just like our asses, humanity has been using them for millennia without significant ill effect.

tl:dr - anon needs to check his/her facts before spouting off, and by "checking facts" I mean doing more than googling images for "rectal prolapse".

It should be mentioned that anal sex is NOT the leading cause of rectal prolapse, rectal prolapse is uncommon in those who do not engage in more extreme activities like fisting and anal stretching, is most common in young children and the elderly, and is more common in women than in men. Pregnancy and childbirth cause rectal prolapse more often than anal sex. It also does not often cause death.

Every time someone describes self-lubrication in m/m omegaverse fic, I can't help but think it's some nasty ass-juice.

While some people can actually handle anal without much lube (especially if they do it a lot), you can't get "wet" up your ass - it's simply not self-lubricating.

That's part of the premise of the alpha/omega setting -- male omegas often have self-lubricating rectums, as well as the ability to get pregnant. It's not that way in real life, obviously.
