Can someone with more knowledge tell me how strongly the German Tokyopop is connected to the US one? Are they the exact same thing, or is the German publisher some kind of spin-off that was born from the first one but handles its own business now? After what I've hard of the US company, I don't really feel like buying anything by them again, so should I feel guilty about collecting several series published by the German Tokyopop?

I think the artist of Re:Play ( Her dA) said the German branch of Tokyopop was really good. They had high quality localization of her comic and the paper quality was excellent, much better than what the US branch did. I don't think they're related.
