[Highlander: The Series]

DO IT! I love the series in and of itself, but also for this pairing. It's one of my favorites, and there are sooo many more moments aside from this one (don't want to say too much, in order to not spoil you).

Agreeing with all of the above - Duncan/Methos (+Amanda, when I feel like reading threeways :D) is awesome, and the fandom's brimming with hot slash fic. (A recommendation if you ever want to write fic, though: watch some episodes w/o Meth in them, since his episodes might give a somewhat warped idea about Duncan's character.)

Just dl all the episodes with Methos in them!!! I say that as a longtime HL fan, but let's be honest, Peter Wingfield was by far the very best part of the entire show.

The amount of slashiness throughout is simply beautiful.

Methos/Duncan <3 <3 Wait until you get to the "Jimmy scene". Unf.

If you're only in it for Methos, just watch S3 and S4, and then the series finale. And I don't judge you if you're only in it for Methos, but Mac is one of those guys who has chemistry with everything including inanimate objects, so if you like him you should go ahead and watch it all! "I don't understand what's happening but I'm kind of weirdly turned on" is absolutely the right frame of mind for this series.

Yeah there are moments where you find yourself thinking dirty thoughts about how he holds his sword. Duncan sleeps with everything and everyone, I swear its canon. ~~Amanda is also smoking hot.~~

Don't forget about the fifth season! Also, ditto on him having chemistry with everything.

(Ugh, don't tempt me -- I've been sitting on a half-finished fic for an embarassing amount of years now.)

I watched the show in the day, and remember really enjoying it. I don't know if the series "aged well", but I'd say give it a go.

My partner re-watched sometime recently and thought it held up, although considering how big a fan he was back in the day, could be nostalgia. I watched a few eps and thought it was cheesy but pretty good.

Methos secret!!!!!!

There was not enough Methos in that show. I think at some point there were talking about a making a spin-off, it should have been a Methos spin-off, dammit.

There was a web cartoon/animated flash series focused on Methos for a while. I think its still online some place.

It's a great idea to watch the entire series, because it's a lot of fun, but if you just want the absolute best of Duncan and Methos, watch Comes a Horseman and Revelation 6:8. Best episodes of the series, and could've made a better movie than any of the actual Highlander sequels. Has the same sort of charge as that scene in Methos' introductory episode, as does the episode Chivalry. And it's a very different feel than the others, but in the hilarious episode Till Death, they are pretty much an old married couple.

Those two were the first episodes I ever watched and it was a huge mistake because while there was lots of good in the series nothing lived up to it!

This list may have been very relevant to my interests at one point in my life. Till Death is one of my favorites - it's a really funny episode.

One of my favorite fic authors was Dayspring (http://dayspring.skeeter63.org/mainpage.html). My favorites were Dark Places And Fair and Save The Last Dance For Me, even if they were a little heavy on the MacLeod is an idiot thing.

I love "Till Death." The faux fight is the funniest thing ever. Plus, there's Fitz in the flashbacks - bonus!

If you like that scene, may I recommend the Methos and Duncan spar in the dojo in Chivalry? Methos takes Duncan's sword and ends up on his knees. So, yeah, that happened (and it's where the scene in my icon is from). One of my favorite scenes in the series and I'm not even a Methos/Duncan shipper.

I know exactly what secret you're referencing and I have been trying to find it for ages. What post was it in, OP?

Either way, I watched on from there and it was sooooooo worth it - watch Till Death and see if it's not!

Heh, just watch the Methos ones if you want that, there's not that many. (Sadly.) Or watch Chivalry on YouTube. Or just watch the first half of Chivalry on YouTube. *sighs happily*
