How incredibly sad is it that people can't be good friends with other people without someone yelling, "OH, THEY MUST BE FUCKING! That's the only way to explain how close they are."

And this goes for every pair-up. Men being friends with men. Women being friends with women. Men being friends with women.

Naw, these two aren't shipped because they're friends. It's because they're always teasing audiences in interviews about sexy things they may or may not have done together. It's stupid, extremely forced pandering in my opinion, but I'm just saying, fans aren't just pulling the 'ship out of their asses.
