Gary Paulsen's Dogsong is another YA novel featuring an Eskimo protagonist. I think he wrote other books with Native American elements and characters as well, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
You might also be interested in Farley Mowat's works. He wrote about the Native peoples he met while traveling the Canadian North (People of the Deer) and fictional novels based on his experiences (Lost in the Barrens/Two Against the North).
