Ugh, yeah I don't get Loki/Tony. I'm all for shipping whatever your heart desires, but that pairing is a big bag of dnw for me

See, I don't get this. You're all so adamant that "Omg, ship what you want" but still you go around bitching about "eeew, how could anyone ship this?"

"Ship what you want" = it's not a problem for me and I'm perfectly fine ignoring it and going on my way

Complaining = I like to think I'm tolerant, but basically, I'm just a judgemental douche.

I didn't say no one should ship it. The reason I added the "ship whatever you want" thing was so that people didn't think I was trying to tell them not to ship it. I was just agreeing with OP that I personally find it a very offputting pairing.

No. Tolerance, by it's very nature, means you disagree. You think the other person is wrong. Otherwise, you are not tolerating them, you are liking a different flavor of something but approving of the thing itself.

"That's not my ship, but every ship is okay!" = liking a different flavor

"That ship is way OOC but ship it if you like..." = tolerant

"You can't ship this and I'm going to try and make you stop." = intolerant

So it's okay to go into the ship tag and bitch about the pairing even if no one is bothering you with said pairing?

That is what people are touchy about. I don't care or outright dislike/am annoyed by many pairings, but I don't go into tags on Tumblr or wherever and just bitch for the sake of bitching and then poorly act like I'm offended when fans who track the tag are put off by it.

Whatever "people" are touchy about on Tumblr, those incidents did not prompt the comment to which I replied. Nor is it remotely reasonable for you to drag up some nebulous accusation about some internet wank that supposedly took place on some other site (one which, by the way, I avoid like the plague) and throw it at my feet as if I'm supposed to do something about it. This secret is not on anybody's ship tag. You don't even have a reason to suspect the OP has done anything remotely like what you're describing, let alone the anon who started this particular section of this thread. I have no idea what you expect me to do about your grievance, but let me assure you, whatever it is, you'd probably better look for it from somebody else.
