Good day! A request came in, and as it so happens I was planning on featuring the animals that were called for (because it's been a while, and I do like them), so that actually was a wonderful coincidence. We're going a bit more into the sea today, and while I'm not sure how cute these creatures might be, they're definitely colourful and pretty! This once, I'm not giving too much information, just what they're both called and the links to the main wikipedia pages where you can read up a bit more if you're interested. The focus for today is just what they look like. (:

This little lady is Tutelina Elegans, a small iridiscent spider. We can tell she's a girl because they're sexually dimorphic, and the males are more golden rather than green and also have a funny hairdo, like so:

They're pretty spiders- though really, if you see them in real life, they're probably not going to look that impressive.

Here's one on a leaf next to a thumbnail. Though there are bigger species of jumping spiders out there, most of the ones you might encounter aren't going to be much larger than this.
