Captain America is excellent, definitely worth watching. Unless you really dislike Steve for some reason, you'll most likely enjoy it a lot; the character development is pretty great, and it's a really well-done movie.

Thor... has a lot of relevant backstory for the Avengers. I'd suggest seeing it for that reason alone -- and pretty much only that reason. It's the weakest of the MCU movies, imo. Thor's character development, the development of Jane and the other humans, and the romance, are all really rushed and feel kind of forced. Loki was really the only interesting thing about the movie, and I'm not a Loki fangirl.
