I like them both, for different reasons. Thor felt more substantive from a fandom perspective. It laid down some interesting characters and relationships, started the plot that would be used in The Avengers(Loki and his quest for power), and had some really, really good moments for Thor and Loki. And it gave me the one ship I actively ship in the MMU, Clint/Darcy, so I like it for that reason alone.

Captain America, on the other hand, I felt had more for the general population. It was a good story and had interesting characters and IMHO Chris knocked it out of the park. There was great Cap backstory and I loved it for that reason alone, but if you're not a huge Cap fangirl/boy then it might be a bit boring. I liked it, either way, and I think both are worth the time.

Hopefully this is a little helpful. I can't help but lol at the huge divide between opinions here. XD
