Do not, I repeat, do not become a teacher if you don't feel called to teach. You need to either love helping kids, or love your subject so much you want to give it to other people. If you go into it without one of those two motivations (some combination of the two is best, but one or the other will do), this job will suck your soul out within your first three years, you'll end up leaving the profession for something else anyway before you hit your ten-year mark, and you will hurt kids in the process between when you lose your soul and when you bail out. If there is anything else at all you'd rather do, do that instead.
