The 90's had it's fair share of horrible shows, like every decade (heck every year). I think one of the reasons the 90's is held to such a high standard is because of the few shows that were amazing (the ones that still work today). The shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, and Gargoyles are the ones that come immediately to my head since I watched those. The good 90's shows really hit it, and they often were considered revolutionary. (note: I think some 2000's shows will be considered revolutionary in about 5 years when everyone gets nostalgic for the 2000's). Of course, some (probably most) 90's shows are just awful. OMG We just don't remember them as well. I don't remember the early 90's that well to be honest (born in 1987).

Interestingly, the only show I liked that you have up there is Legend of the Hidden Temple. I watched an episode a few months ago because it was on the Hub, and it was weird. I don't know if I still like it though.

Anyway, as far as shows in the 2000s, here's a list of shows I think were really good/better than a lot of 90's shows that I can think of right now: Teen Titans, Avatar: tla, MLP: Friendship is Magic, Danny Phantom, The Fairly OddParents, Kim Possible, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Kid's Next Door, and Samurai Jack.

Anyway, I agree that the 90s weren't necessarily better, but I feel they were the most diverse. I feel like the 90s and even the early 2000s had more variety. Actually, I feel like with channels like the Hub, we are starting to get that variety back. Everything goes in cycles, some years have better quality shows and others do not. Right now, I think we are going back up to a more varied type of show. I think there is a slow return to stories with overarching plots (whether they're doing it well is up for debate of course) such as Young Justice, Transformers Prime, reboot!Thundercats, and Legend of Korra.

I fucking love the Hub. So much.

Mainly because they played Gremlins 2: The New Batch the other day. It was just...so magical.

Yay, the Hub. Best money, I ever spent on Verizon, getting that channel.

Fuck yeah to the Danny Phantom love. When I was thirteen that show was one of my favorite things ever. I used to doodle little Danny Phantom logos all over everything. . .

They dropped the bomb in the third season, but the first two seasons were gold.

Wow, that was actually a bit of a long time ago though.

Also fuck yeah to pretty much all of your other tv choices from the 2000's, those all really were very good.
