If possible, maybe try to compromise - depending on what your training as a teacher (and its constrictions) entail, maybe try to pursue both teaching and voice-overs (i.e. part time education, weekend work, ect.)? People in these job fields often have to take up second jobs anyway to support themselves, so having two career paths open to you may not be a bad idea. That's the only practical advice I have to offer at the moment.
Here's the thing: eventually, you'll have to live with someone's disappointment - either theirs, when you pursue your own skills and dreams, or your own when you spend your life in a career you don't like or isn't right for you. It's going to suck either way, and you'll probably end up feeling like the scum of the earth or trapped in hopeless despair at one point or another, and either way you'll just have to soldier on through.
The only questions are whether you're going to spend your life in a job you don't like or in a job you do like, and whether you'll get that immense feeling of disappointment now or later. (Well, no...obviously there are a LOT of other factors to consider - but these are probably the biggest ones to look at right now based on the concerns you expressed in your secret).
