I agree with you that we had lame and good stuff on an equal ratio, but I also think the judgement of 'good' and 'lame' does vary drastically from person to person and between age groups. People have their nostalgia goggles on, but just because they would rewatch something now and dislike it doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad. It might just mean that it no longer caters directly to their age group, which also isn't really a bad thing. Not everything has to 'hold up'; I don't expect the Telitubbies to entertain me like they did when I was a baby, so I just take it as a pleasant surprise when other things from my childhood still do entertain me as an adult. Basically, everyone should just let the kids have their fun and stop complaining and pretending that they're better than everyone else.
Gotta say though, I'm sad that the Amanda Show is getting no love on this thread. I recently rewatched "Moody's Point" and I enjoyed the hell out of that.
Also I enjoy Ren and Stimpy, but then most people (OP excluded) do. I have to say that I am of the opinion that that show is more for adults though. I don't quite understand Nickelodeon's choices there, because I would never show Ren and Stimpy to a young child.
