(Anonymous) 2012-07-16 08:14 am (UTC)(link)I became a teacher because my parents wanted me to and spent two years loathing my job, my life and my self for being so invertebrate. Those two years were a nightmare. Teaching is a very demanding and hard job, even if you love it and if you don`t, well... Eventually I just understood that I can`t take it no more and quited. Now I`m working as a translator. My parents still angry with me but frankly speaking it does not matter that much considering how depressed I was and how happy I`m now. One day they will forgive me, I hope.
So I wish you luck, OP. People spend a half of their lifes at work and there`s nothing worse than spend so much time in a place you hate. Don`t give up on your dream, I hope I`ll finally get what you want.
