believe me, i know how you feel. i don't write, but i can hardly participate in fandom anymore. it has been overridden by assholes and it's rarely fun. (i mean, just look at the comments you're getting.) i still read fic, though, and i love shit that's problematic and i never ever complain. and i'm sure i'm not the only one. we need you! maybe just stop reading reviews, period. there are a lot of people in the entertainment industry who choose to do that because it's too distracting.

Yeah, this. People are going to throw shit-fits about "problematic content" probably until the universe implodes. Don't let them get you down and just enjoy your hobby, OP. For every one of them there's another three of us who just don't care. If I like your fic I'll say something nice. If I don't, I hit the back button like a mature adult and don't say anything.

Don't let them bother you, OP, fandom is supposed to be fun, not a holier-than-thou pissing contest.
