Oh no! You mean that you might not get glowing reviews for your little one-shots on the Net! The world is over! I am so sorry for all the harm that has been done to you!

Basically, get over it. I have written fanfiction for years and it is because of the reviews that offered critique and something other than mindless praise on my original crappy work that my work these days is much improved.

Also, even published authors get a bad review. And you have to suffer through dozens if not hundreds of rejections before they get published. If you didn't get this wake up call from fandom, it would have come for you in the real world sooner or later. To be a writer, you have to be prepared for rejection and harsh critiques. Better grow a little bit of a backbone.
