One of my favorite tropes is the Evil But Sincerely Devoted Couple. Where they're both horrible and/or insane bad guys, but by fuck, they would do absolutely anything for each other. You don't see very many, though - they always turn on each other at the end. But when they show up now and then, they're a treat. It's an easy way to give even an irredeemable bad guy some humanity.

MTE. I love this trope SO MUCH, but it's hardly ever done well. Sometimes out of lazy writing, sometimes because, idk, for some reason people think that being in love makes villains weak/unbelievable. (As though there are no criminals irl that love their families?) I'm with the OP; give me a good ol' Bonnie and Clyde pairing any day.

...even if they keep trying to kill each other for fun.
