I...was going to do a longish post on my disagreements, but the short version is, I don't think I agree with anything in your second paragraph. Including the example you're using. But, I am lazy and sleepy and this conversation is very hypothetical already, so in my current state, I don't think I'm quite up for abstract moral philosophy. Besides, if we're not talking about falling in love with the bad guy or making assumptions that you can rule by their side, then we aren't really talking about the OP's secret any more.

However, I genuinely appreciate the conversation and your thought-provoking posts. :)

Yeah, I kinda got lost along the path of comparing the inherent worthiness of good guys to bad guy in personal relationships, instead of inherent worthiness of hooking up with a world-breaking tyrant, lol.

But ditto, thanks for your posts, too! I love a good hypothetical conversation. ^^
