Hell no! I love the whole historical adventure thing, the music, the characters, etc. I mean, yes, I do love how slashy it is -- but a movie/book/whatever needs more than just that for me to love it.

This. It's just an overall fun, well written movie imo. Not many things make me happier than watching that movie does. It's really one of those I don't mind watching over and over again. Miguel and Tulio are the heart of the film though, so that's why people mention it so much. I couldn't imagine what the movie would even be if their relationship were any different.
