But there's a difference between wanting to see a more diverse cast (which is good, and it's something that I'm doing my share to see it happen) and wanking and borderline crusading for it like it's an actual racial revolution and "how dare they whitewashing".

It's the amount of intensity, and I'm way to cynical to even try to understand SJW.

Does anyone else find it ironic as fuck that it's usually upper middle class white American college girls who play the OMG SO RACIST card when it comes to things like this? Like, how are you going to be white and then sit there and act righteously indignant about being overly represented in a popular, mainstream movie?

and idk, why is it so tabboo to discuss race in fandom at all? discussing gender and wanting more strong female characters=ooh, look at you looking at your media from a critical angle and being all feministy and great! you go glen coco!; discussing race and wanting more diversity=LOL CRY MOAR SJW

I think the problem is that whenever race comes up, it instantly divides people. Some just want to let it go, and some feel insanely intense about it, and they push it into this skyrocketing debate that makes it seem like SJW wank.
