Do people really care that much? One year I was at an anime con and someone was dressed as Jesus Christ. Complete with huge cross he was lugging around. Seemed like everyone who saw him thought it was pretty cool. I'm sure I've seen other non-anime cosplays and no one seemed to be freaking out, but Jesus is the first one that comes to mind.

Was wondering if that would be Fanime, by any chance? I know I've seen some pretty hilarious pictures of the Jesus cosplayer with those "Turn to Jesus or go to hell" protesters that show up there every year.
