Well, let me see...

The Arrival by Shaun Tan (no words, but uses illustrations to tell the story).

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (adopted girl in Nazi Germany).

The Taking by Dean Koontz (the end of the world... in a grotesque and horrifying way).

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett (an angel and a demon grew fond of humans and try to prevent he apocalypse).

I love love love Good Omens. To bitty bits. (Have you read fanfic? There's always a great turnout at Yuletide for that fandom)

I have heard of The Book Thief before and been intrigued. I'll definitely have to check that out.

And I always love a good apocalypse. Thank you!
