My friend sent me SGA DVDs so I could get caught up before the third season started airing. I think she was mightily disappointed that I started writing Bates/Kavanagh (which IDK where the fuck that came from really) and Elizabeth gen instead of immediately jumping on the McShep bandwagon.

What got me is that Kavanagh leaves at the end of the first season I think, decides to come back for some reason and then leaves again. It wasn't really explained in canon, and for some reason, I fixated on figuring out why he'd do that. Also I have A Thing as a fanfic writer for humanizing unlikable characters. So naturally, I had to write the epic saga of their doomed relationship. Well, doomed as it stands. There's a third fic I have yet to write that reunites them in lurve.
