My SO and I play the "crazy ships" game with the rule of "make it work plausibly" all the time. So, not many ships cause me to WTF, period.

These pairings were suprising to me (not to the level of WTFery), but I like them:

1.) There's like one fic featuring Chiana (Farscape) / Quark (Star Trek: DS9) in existence, but now I ship it hard.
2.) Tintin/Haddock. I never though about as a kid, but as an adult I ship it.
3.) Bones/Chekov ('09). Read a good fic featuring this pairing.
4.) Kay/Jay (MiB). Thanks third MiB movie. I went in to the movie without my googles and somehow came out shipping it anyway.

I love that game! Once I played it with a friend and shipped Voldemort/Giant Squid. Merry times were had by all.

It's fun with crossovers, especially. You have to get them in each other's universe somehow AND make the ship work. I just made Jesse (Breaking Bad)/Reese (Malcolm in the Middle) work on Sunday- after a few days of (casual) consideration- so I'm pretty content with my crazy shipping ability right now.

Oooh crossover shipping IS fun. Crossovers are fun in general.

I really kind of want TBBT's Sheldon and BBC Sherlock to have awkward exploratory clinical quasi hate sex.

Me too :D I love hearing other people's crack ships because no one takes them very seriously either, but wouldn't it be interesting if such and such happened?
