I... I'm not sure I've read a published book this year.

I think maybe I read Margaret Atwood's 'Cat's Eye' and 'The Robber Bride' this year. But, that could have been last year...
Anyway, if you like Atwood you'll like these. The plots are kind of hard to explain. They are about women and relationships and women's relationships with each other.

I can rec lots (well, maybe not lots) of novel length fic I you want. That's all I've been reading this year! (You've probably read them already, though.)

I have read both those Atwood. I love love love love her. She's fantastic. I'd love novel length fic recs. :) I don't know if we share fandoms; I'm mostly reading Avengers and Harry Potter stuff right now but not averse to other fandoms. :)

Yep. I think we share fandoms. I read those two, plus Star Trek ('09 snd TOS) pretty exclusively.

I figure you've read the 'classics' in HP and ST, yeah?

Have you read 'The Lotus Eaters' ( http://aldora89.livejournal.com/10044.html )? Or, 'Leave No Soul Behind' ( http://archiveofourown.org/works/187333/chapters/275539 )? Those are both ST '09 K/S. As for HP, my recs would be pretty Snarry-centric and I don't know if that's your thing. Most Avengers fic is pretty new, so you've probably already read what I'd rec. :)
