I'm also using these posts as desensitization. It helps that you tend to feature cute-ish big eyed fuzzball spiders and describe them as if they're cats and show them chilling out and being harmless on people's hands :)

(TMI time - things with too many legs in proximity to people's hands used to freak me out so hard - I nearly had a panic attack once from a *description* of a fictional crustacean biting someone.)

BTW, I'm amblypygid anon from the other week. I requested that post partly because whip scorpions give me an even more powerful ohgodnokillitwithfire! response than spiders do, and I wanted to make myself look at them in a positive context. So yeah, thanks for normalizing arachnids for us phobics!
