7 I disagree on two points, really. I didn't dislike 6 (though I did dislike the chest monster xD), and I don't think she's an amazing novelist. I've read better, and I've read worse, and that doesn't keep me from loving the books, but I've just never understood all the worship her writing gets from some people.

8 God, I've got days when I agree with you on that one. I know there's an unhealthy element to enjoying living vicariously through fiction so much, but fiction wouldn't be so popular if we didn't enjoy watching unreal people do things we can't or won't.

I've never understood the appeal. I guess it's the characters but the story and quality of the writing isn't anything fantastic... or unique even.

What I've found to be the most amusing thing about JKR and HP books is when things were going fans way and no ships had been sunk, people loved her and hailed her as the next Christ of the Written Word.

Now that she's sunk ships and basically not written the books like people wanted it to go, they rag her for being a hack.

Make up your mind all ready!
