Ungh, yes. I got into Japanese culture through anime and I'm not even close to being a weeaboo. I can be an anime nerd and still have some perspective, kthx.

I like that people think it's "totally cool" that I listen to, say, French music when I know maybe five words in French, yet when they find out I listen to Japanese music they're like "HAHA WEABOO". Yeah.

Which makes me wonder whether they're a closet weeaboo, seeing how they seem to give Japan special treatment.

Yeah me too! :) Or I think it brings out the people who've always loved it, and just given them a fresh take on it (like me! hehe). I've always loved classical music...I remember when my parents bought our first family computer and I played Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No.3 and Beethoven's 5th MIDIs over and over again. XD
