Every adaption is basically a different AU. That's the way I look at it; different doesn't necessarily mean bad (and if they were too much alike it would be boring, right?).

But hey, you like what you like.

Exactly. I'm an Arthurian legends geek, and if all adaptations did the same things, even if they were the same initially awesome things, I'd grow very bored very fast.

Funny how it is exactly the opposite for me. :) Don't know why, but even with the way "Merlin" handles the legends, Bradley's Arthur somehow feels like The One. Really don't know why. :)

And here I was thinking I was the only one who liked the 2004 Clive Owen film. I haven't seen the other adaptation, but the point here is that for once, the 2004 film isn't being treated like a punchline.

I am in love with this movie to an unreasonable extent. I recognize it has no real historical basis and kind of sucks but I'm obsessed. I didn't think anyone else had knew it existed. This secret made my day.
