Ok this might be really evil but

funerals make me kinda horny

I mean not the ones I've gone to for family where everyone there is related to me, but the few I've gone to for friends I've known who died... I just really feel like fucking someone every time I go to one of those and I DON'T KNOW. WHY. (I mean, if you really want to talk about ABNORMAL, there you go)

Maybe it's like, some sort of weird biological urge to procreate because I'm contemplating mortality the entire time? Who knows. I don't think there's anything particularly sexy about people wearing frumpy black clothes and crying a lot

Wasn't this a plot point in a Judy Blume novel? iirc the narrator actually does end up having sex shortly after a funeral and feeling guilty, but the guy she has sex with is like, "Nah, life and death are entwined and stuff. Also, my penis has a name." (actually, I suspect I'm confusing two books there, but...)

LOL I wouldn't know... I had to read one Judy Blume book when I was in middle school and I forget which one it was. It was about a divorce or ... something

that sounds a bit like "Tiger's Eye" (the main character's dad is dead when the book begins, and she meets a pretty laid back guy in Los Alamos, although i don't remember that they had sex at any point) and "Forever" (where i'm pretty sure the main love-interest named his penis) all mashed together. =]

Ha! Thanks, those seems to be the ones (there was a school semester where I had access to one of those "take a book, leave a book" shelves and a friend and I would split up the interesting-looking ones, sit near each other to read, and read out loud whatever passages would be most hilarious out of context, which probably accounts for all the confusion. I do recall some book having a guy telling a girl that it was perfectly normal to feel the urge for sex after being close to death, in a similar vein to what childings has mentioned, mortality contemplation and all).

glad to help! =] "Tiger Eyes" (which i totally spelled wrong the up there...) was one of my favorites in middle school, and while i haven't read it in ages, the whole mortality and sex thing just sounds like a very Wolf thing to say!

...and that sounds like an *awesome* use of time! my friends and i used to do dramatic readings of the trashier romance novels while standing in the bookstore, and the stranger the book cover and blurb, usually the more absurd scene we could find! =D
