I'd have been happy with it ending in S5 so long as we got a different ending to Swan Song, because that was fucking terrible.

Don't remind me of that episode, it was such an anticlimatic letdown. I'm happy imagining that the season 3 finale was the actual ending.

I totally would have loved it ending at S3, too. S3, imho, was one of the best written seasons this show has had.

Maybe this means we need another writers` strike :/

Swan Song marks the end of my love affair with this show.

I still watch it, but now it's like... that one person on facebook you can't stand but you keep them friended anyway just so you can judge them.

Pretty much THIS. I stuck with S6 basically so I could revel in the lulz and the wank. It was bad, but sometimes the entertaining bad. S7 just got BAD. And yeah, cue FB judging.
