I think there's a lot more characters that are covered than not. People just tend to focus on the less-than-covered characters when it comes to women in comics.

Personally I liked Stephanie Brown's Batgirl costume but I'm partial to purple.

Women do wind up in variants of the whole "bathing suit" thing more often than men do.

There's the whole Harley Quinn fiasco these days too...

Personally, I was particularly partial to Steph's Spoiler costume. Her Batgirl costume is pretty groovy too, but for Steph (and Cass), I thought it was cool that a girl had a costume that also covered her face. That's something you don't see very often at all, and what I really liked about it was that it meant she mostly communicated through body language and eyes, like Deadpool or Spidey. Seriously, cover-the-face-except-for-the-eyes just makes a character feel more wacky-fun, like they're mouthing off all the time.

And Cass just had the big puppy-type eyes in her Batgirl costume. Loved it.

People just tend to focus on the less-than-covered characters when it comes to women in comics.

Well, yeah. When there are, let's say, two main male characters to every main female character in comics, and a quarter to a half of those female characters have outfits that are explicitly designed to be titillating and not functional, then yeah there's a problem there.
