Your mom's probably projecting a bit, taking out some of her own feelings on you. It's not fair, but try not to take it personally.

Was this her father? It's also possible that she is (consciously or otherwise) wondering if this is how you'll react when she dies, and it might be upsetting her since obviously your apparent emotions are in such stark contrast to hers. If you think that could be the case, you might want to address it with her directly.
