14 here!

eBay it. That's how I got my copy of D1. :D

Disgaea 2 doesn't require much knowledge of 1, though at one point you can actually watch the ending of 1 if you get a certain act passed in the Demon Legislature, I think. (And I believe if you have a save of La Pucelle on your memory card, you can get the main character from that as a playable party member...)

And both games have exploding penguins! THE POWER OF ROCK STAR AXEL COMPELS YOU.

HELLO THERE 14.

AND. Exploding penguins. Another awesome reason to play it *_*

WHY HELLO THERE. XD

Oh god, the Prinnies are so cute. Imagine little penguins with bat wings that yell "DOOD!" and explode when you throw them. Here's one in plushie form. (http://www.rosenqueen.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=28)

(I also really like the games because you can literally play them for hundreds of hours--I enjoy level-grinding, I guess. Although in Disgaea 2, if you play for over 100 hours, you have the chance of being convicted of the felony "Playing Too Long" in the Demon Court.)
