3. I envy HP fandom their selection of great fic and great writers so very much. T_T And I swear, I'd. . .I'd *do* things (TERRIBLE AWFUL THINGS) just to get some of the writers I've read in HP fandom or any number of Western fandoms that I read, to write fic for a certain one of my current crazy little anime fandoms.

isn't there a rule about the percentage of good writing to bad? in a fandom as large as HP it stands to reason there'd be more 'great fic' if not thing than by virtue of sheer numbers.

my experience with HP has been an overwhelming amount of bad fic to good and I have an awesome flist of incredible anime fic writers so I suppose it's all about perspective.
