Awkward question, but I only feel comfortable asking you, F!S. I don't shave at all down there and I'm dating this guy who I don't really feel comfortable asking "is it a big deal?" because he's a really nice guy and I'm not sure he'd be honest.

How big of a deal is it really? Do y'all hate it? Should I shave before we get to that territory and just fend off his advances silently until then or should I risk seeming incredibly unattractive by mentioning that I have a veritable forest going on down there?

I'm more in the optionally trim but don't shave myself. On the partners that did shave, the high-maintenance chicken-skin was less attractive than in the movies, and hair shouldn't be a problem for most activities.

For myself, I don't shave because I already have tricky skin that doesn't need more abuse.

Try a clean-up and trim, no need to go whole hog. WAY easier on you and it's not like he'll be revolted or anything (and if he is, wtf get rid of him stat). That can sort of ease the tension before you feel comfortable just asking him directly. And when it does come time to ask, frame it in such a way that sounds like you want to make him happy. Then he won't be shy to tell you what he prefers and you two can reach a compromise.

Don't stress too much, in my experience guys don't typically have IMMENSELY STRONG FEELINGS either way. A preference, maybe, but it's highly unlikely you're going to get kicked out of bed. :)

Personally, I don't really care as long as a person keeps clean. But, a bush can be rather inconvenient if you guys are doing oral. (Unless you like long hairs in your mouth.) Trimming to a shorter length is preferable, but, it doesn't have be triangular or whatever and perfect. This is just my opinion, of course. Maybe your guy likes bush? Most people, I've found, prefer at least trimming.

I have always been appalled at the idea of shaving down there. Wouldn't the itching be absolutely unbearable?

I say trim neatly, so the hair is sorta shaped around the mound and doesn't stick out too far, so it looks nice and deliberate and not straggly and gross. And try and make sure he's not going to get a mouthful of long kinky hairs if he goes down on you. Just reasonable stuff.

It itches a little bit while it's growing back but the extra sensation is completely worth it to me. I feel like it's something everyone should try once just because it feels so good. But yeah, if itching really bothers you, don't go there.

For me personally, any itching is vastly preferable to vaginal discharge drying in the hair. That just grosses me out - and can hurt. I hate my life when I don't trim.

I'm a girl but I've always liked the look of pubic hair. It's just pretty, imo.

I trim, but I think that fully shaved pussy is disgusting. Adult women have hair down there! And the fact that no porn stars have any bush always disgusts me. It's just one more way that our culture says that the sexiest women aren't women, they're girls.

Vulvas are fucking beautiful, and damn right I like getting a good eyeful of them. I'm not that fussy and I'd never demand a girlfriend shaved for me, but there is nothing pedo about wanting to look at and touch a woman's bare skin.

Man, I hate shaving. I did it for a while for one dude, but after that fiasco, I stopped. The itching was unbearable and I had to constantly keep it shaved to be even remotely comfortable.

Then I stopped.

I trim it now, just to keep it neat. I will never shave it again. Mostly because I hate how my vag looked like I was 9 again. Ick. >_< Made me so uncomfortable.

Most guys, outside a few, don't really care all that much so long as it isn't 2 inches thick. ^^;; So trimming should be fine. There's some Venus razors for woman that have the normal shaving head on it but also has a trimmer at the end of it. Most useful thing I have ever found, so maybe try one of those?

Completely up to what you want to do. Who knows, his preferences might be all over the place. The guy I'm with now doesn't mind hair on partners, but he shaves his own clean off, just because he prefers it.

I'd say just go with what makes you feel most comfortable. If he's really going to ditch you because of pubic hair he's definitely not worth the fuss.

If you want oral sex it would be polite to trim it down. Personally I just grab it in clumps and hack it off with scissors rather than using anything more fancy.

It's your body, so don't fuss too much over what he wants. Your body is fine the way it is. Most guys really don't mind that much. I like to shave mine off every so often because the added sensation is so amazing I could just masturbate all day lol, but it's not something worth doing for anyone but yourself.
